The “HVAC Solution for Vending Update” project faced several challenges. Key issues included maintaining a precise temperature of 24°C and 50% humidity for hygroscopic materials like sugar and milk powder. Meeting stringent clean room standards for food safety and achieving energy efficiency to reduce costs were critical. Ensuring reliable vending machine operation, managing dust and contaminants, and integrating advanced HVAC systems with existing infrastructure were also essential. Ongoing maintenance required thorough staff training and robust support for predictive upkeep.

Our Process

The three main functions of an HVAC system are interrelated, especially when providing acceptable indoor air quality and thermal comfort. Your heating and air conditioning system is often one of the most complicated and extensive systems in your home, but when it stops working you’ll know soon enough! There are nine parts to your HVAC system that you should be familiar with the air return, filter, exhaust outlets, ducts, electrical elements, outdoor unit, compressor, coils and blower.

The solution comprised installing tailored HVAC systems: Direct Expansion (DX) Type Air Handling Units (AHUs) with dehumidifiers and Variable Refrigerant Volume (VRV) outdoor units for energy efficiency. Separate ducts with filters ensured clean airflow. Treated Fresh Air (TFA) units maintained positive pressure, while a dust collection system prevented contamination, optimizing production conditions.

Result And Outcome

The outcome included achieving optimal production conditions with consistent temperature and humidity levels, meeting clean room standards for food safety. Energy savings of 25% were realized, while improved temperature control enhanced product quality and shelf life. Maintenance costs decreased by 30%, and user satisfaction increased with a more reliable vending service.
